MUMBAI 20/nov/2014: APM Terminals Mumbai created a new gate record transacting 5,467 TEUs in a single day on 12th November 2014. While doing so it also set a new record handling 3,197 TEUs in a single (Day) shift. The terminal exhibits outstanding performance not only at the quayside, but efficiently transacts average 4,000 TEUs daily through its gates as well. It is the only Indian terminal to figure in the Journal of Commerce (JOC) list of Global Top Five productive container terminals in the world. The JOC study has used data from over 150,000 port calls, evaluating the individual performances of 483 ports and 771 terminals.
